Conflict Resolution

Group communication is a necessity in today’s world and especially in the workplace. More often than not when working in groups, conflict will arise, and if you know how to manage it correctly conflict can be beneficial rather than detrimental to group progress.

 

There are three main types of conflict. Pseudo-Conflict arises when individuals misunderstand each other’s perceptions of a problem. Simple Conflict arises with there is a disagreement over a course of action, idea, policy, or procedure. Lastly, Ego Conflict arises in defense of ego: an individual believes he or she is being attacked personally.
